Friday night: We had a nice local ride.
Saturday: We had an early breakfast and got on the road to meet up with friends about 45 minutes east. From there we headed into the city to meet other friends to enter a car & bike show. Among our group there was a 56 Chevy, 66 Pontiac GTO, 60 Harley Duo Glide and an 83 Harley FXR that belongs to my other half. Both of the bikes are for sale, HINT...HINT.... The friend who owns the GTO was interviewed for a local TV show. How cool is that???? Then from there we headed to the burbs for Mexican dinner and then on to Rock on the River. Which consisted of rock bands from the 70's & 80's. We closed that place down and headed back to pick up our bikes which we left at our friends house. By the time we finished there we decided to just stay over night.
Sunday: Tom is quite the domestic house-husband. For a big, ex-marine, biker he makes the best blueberry pancakes I've ever had. We decided to take a ride to a state park and have a pic-nic. Talk about a thing of the past. Of course we had to make a run home to get showered and make sandwiches. Money is so tight since I've been layed off and Tom's wife has been layed off too so we have been trying to find cheap things to do. The whole weekend cost us each about $16-$20 and that included the Mexican restaurant. Not bad for a fun filled weekend.
