First ride of the year.

I can't believe the last time I posted was in December. We have had such a long and hard winter here; as most of the country has experienced. Being this is a biker blog, I haven't had much to contribute.

We finally got our first ride of the year yesterday and was out all day. We stuck pretty close to the Fox River and made several stops along the way.

Good thing we decided to head south because when we got home we found out that there was a bad hail storm went through just 15 miles north of us. We had beautiful weather, other than the clouds and some wind. Perfect temps; so for the first ride of the year, it was a good one.

After riding into the late afternoon, we headed home to swap out the bikes for the car and went to the movies with our riding friends. We saw Divergent...it was good if you like futuristic, fictional movies.

As for cage riding...My trusty Cavalier had served me well and still runs like a champ but with 210,000 miles it was time.

I finally decided to bite the bullet and get my new car...Since I have been working again and saving $500 a month plus all my tax returns; I was able to put 1/2 down and order it to get the options I wanted. 4 1/2 weeks later I got my new cage.
