We had another busy weekend. Yesterday we went for a ride with a bunch of friends...about 10 bikes. It was a perfect day for riding...not to cool and not too hot. It seems we don't ride as much as we used to. We always seem to have so much going on. We got home about 7 and went to the fireman’s dance.
This morning was our town festival and then we went to Sandwich IL for a graduation/going away party for my niece’s son. He is going into the Marines on Oct 11. It’s so strange to see them grow up. This makes three of my great nephews in the military. One has already done two tours in Iraq. Let’s say a prayer for all our service men out there, doing what they do to keep us safe at home so we never see another 9-11.

After we left the party, we stopped at my son’s place. My five year old granddaughter… who I posted pix of not too long ago…got an award in school. The teacher showed them a picture and said, “This is a monkey, and it starts with an M”. My granddaughter said, “No it’s not, it’s a chimpanzee, and it starts with a C.” The teacher asked her how she knew that and she said “because monkeys have tails. “ The teacher looked into it and found out Milaynah was right. I love it!
